Job Summary:
The Real Estate Leasing Agent is responsible for assisting clients in the leasing and rental process of residential and commercial properties. This role requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional communication and negotiation skills. The Leasing Agent will actively seek out potential tenants, conduct property viewings, facilitate lease agreements, and provide outstanding customer service throughout the leasing process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct property tours with prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits of each property.
2. Respond promptly to tenant inquiries, providing accurate and detailed information about available properties, lease terms, and rental rates.
3. Utilize various marketing strategies to attract potential tenants, including online listings, signage, and advertising campaigns.
4. Maintain a thorough understanding of the local real estate market, staying updated on rental trends, property values, and competitor activities.
5. Screen prospective tenants by reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying income and employment details.
6. Negotiate lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
7. Prepare and present lease agreements to tenants, explaining all terms and conditions, and addressing any questions or concerns.
8. Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, conducting property inspections and documenting the condition of the premises.
9. Address tenant complaints and concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leasing activities, including tenant information, lease agreements, and rental payments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Real Estate Leasing Agent or similar role, with a successful track record in leasing residential and commercial properties.
3. Strong knowledge of local real estate market trends, rental regulations, and fair housing laws.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive tenant relationships.
5. Exceptional negotiation and sales abilities, with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
6. Proficient in using relevant software applications and databases to manage leasing activities.
7. Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of multitasking and prioritizing workload effectively.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle tenant complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
10. Valid real estate license or certification is preferred.
